About the Book "Countless times I heard my father proudly recount the story of him catching a salmon on the Wallace River with me, as a very young boy, sitting on his shoulders. It seems like only yesterday that I made my very first trip to a salmon river, but, in fact, it has been more than 35 years since I fished a salmon stream, the Cable pool on Nova Scotia's Gold River, on my own. As luck would have it, I caught a salmon that day. Although I knew I was hooked, I had no idea to what extent salmon fishing would become part of my life. It became a passion, if not an obsession."

"River Talk" is a compilation of tales and tips that could only stem from a lifetime of fishing on the river. Mike Crosby has spent more than 35 salmon seasons wandering Atlantic Canada and the Gaspe Coast of Quebec. He is known amongst friends, family and colleagues as "the legend". His obsession for salmon fishing has ultimately given him a new angle on the sport, one we shall call "River Talk".
